CHILE
Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the Fundación Observatorio PyME, the Universitá di Bologna, with representation in Buenos Aires and the Center of Economics for Management of the Central University of Chile, "The Industrial Geography of Chile" was published in 2009.

The research uses statistical methods from the Universitá di Bologna, known as "data mining" and that have been applied to a base configured by the National Annual Industrial Survey (ENIA) in Chile.

The main objective of the study was to establish the territorial location of Chilean industries, as well as their development dynamics in the period 1999-2005, both at the national level and for the 13  Chilean regions. Likewise, it sought to reveal the different territorial-sectorial specializations of the country and the existence of different industrial districts and territorial agglomerations
monosectorial in the Regions and Communes.
